URI has been using Turning Technologies TurningPoint and Responseware (student response systems) in classrooms since 2009. In 2015, URI upgraded to TurningPoint Cloud.

TurningPoint Cloud supports student learning and is proven to enhance student success including retention of information, engagement, and increases both motivation and attendance.

Turning Technologies sponsors two paid internships on campus during the academic year.
