System Profiler

The System Profiler on Mac OS X displays precise data on hardware, networking, and software. This includes Applications, Audio, Bluetooth, Firewall, Fonts, Graphics, Logs, Memory, USB, and Wireless settings. On OSX 10.7 (Lion), System Profiler is now called System Information.

Accessing the System Profiler or Information

There are two methods of accessing the System Profiler or System Information

  • On OSX 10.6 or lower:

1. Go to the Apple, then "About This Mac". Click "More Info ..."
2. Go to the Utilities folder in Applications, and click the System Profiler icon.

  • On OSX 10.7 (Lion)

1. Go to the Apple, then "About This Mac". Click "More Info ..." Then click "System Report..."
2. Go to the Utilities folder in Applications, and click the System Information icon.
