Full domain privileges are not given to Apple computers at URI, but they can connect to shared folders. This is called restricted domain access.

Connect to Server

Before starting, you will need to know either the DNS name of the server or its IP address.

To connect to a shared folder, follow the directions below:

1. In the Finder, pull down the GO menu. Choose "connect to server."

2. In the window that opens, type in SMB://ServerName/ShareName

3. Click Connect

4. A new window will open, prompting you to log in. Use your URI domain username and password.

5. A server icon will now appear on the desktop, double click this to access files.

This icon on your desktop can be dragged to the dock. Then, the next time it is needed, just double-click it.
